The salary attached to the post

is £1,100 with annual increments of £56

up to a maximum of £1,300. A deduction

of 4% is made from salary as a contribution

to the local Widows and Orphans Pension Fund.

Partially furnished quarters are,

when possible, provided, but the number of

quarters is limited/and they are not usually

allocated to an officer with no wife or children

in the Colony An officer occupying Govern-

ment quarters pays a percentage (the current

rate is % but is subject to alteration) of

his salary as rent When quarters are not

available rent and lodging allowances are paid
